Description: This class is geared toward the returning sewer or advanced beginner who knows how to use a sewing machine. In this class you will further your sewing knowledge by learning best practices and new techniques including “sewing math”, seam allowances and more. This is the perfect class for a sewer that wants to learn the fundamentals of taking ideas and making them a reality. A project of making a reversible tote bag will be available, or bring your own.

Materials Included: Sewing machines, fabric and all necessary tools, but also feel free to bring your own fabric.

Instructor: Koalani Walkoe is a professional costume and fashion designer who also enjoys teaching sewing to others. She started sewing at a very young age and attended FIDM to study Fashion and Costume Design. After working for 7 years in the fashion industry she transitioned to teaching introductory sewing classes to groups and private classes to individuals.
