Description: Chicken Scratch is a simple, traditional type of embroidery that is also called Amish embroidery, snowflake embroidery, or depression lace. It is used to decorate items such as aprons, table cloths, place mats, and pillows. Learn many of the different stitches and techniques and make your own sampler.

Materials Included: A huge variety of fabrics, threads and all necessary tools.

Instructor: Alyson Toone-Aguilar is a practicing artist who teaches art and crafts through her own practice, Make It Work Crafts. Through crafts, she makes design thinking and STEAM concepts more accessible. Her experience with STEAM comes from her 10 years of working in New York City's apparel industry as a fashion designer. She first learned her craft at Columbus College of Art and Design in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her growing family.
